Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed Review

It is not uncommon for people to purchase extremely elaborate pet beds in order to give their dog something fancy – something that if the dog had any opinion on the matter, they would nod their head wisely at their owner and softly say to them “well done.”

But dogs do not always need these elaborate beds. In fact, though there are differences in comfort, a dog can be happy on pretty much any soft surface, especially if the bed is being used in something confining, such as a crate.

When all you need is something simple – a bed that you can put in a crate, or a car, or a small space in your living room – and one that costs as little as possible, you are likely looking for a bed like the Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed.

Pros

The Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed is nothing fancy, but it is also not meant to be. It is one of the most inexpensive beds available, and its softness is one that your dog will most assuredly appreciate. These beds work anywhere. Though they are best for crates, cages, cars, etc., they are still legitimate pet beds that are soft enough to sit out in a spot in the living room and give your dog a place to sleep. There are certainly softer and larger pet beds available, but the Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed is by no means something you should overlook if you are on a budget.

Cons

That said, it is still a budget item. The Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed is not made with any materials that will withstand chewing for very long, and with a material that soft, you can expect some chewing from most dogs to very slowly rip the edges of the bed apart, requiring replacement. Similarly, these types of beds are never as comfortable as the large plush beds for dogs, and definitely not designed to be orthopedic in any way. They are what they are, and what they are is an inexpensive dog bed that will work for most of your needs, but is not designed to give you anything else.

Overall Impressions

Whether you are going to want the Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed depends largely on your expectations. If you expect it to be the next great dog bed that your pet will love for years, chances are you will be disappointed. If you simply need your dog to have a bed somewhere in your home – or you are trying to give your dog something comfortable to sleep on in its crate – the Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed is still very soft, made of nice material, and will suit your needs nicely.
