Technologically Advanced Dog Beds

Dog beds come in all shapes and sizes. Manufacturers of these beds have evolved the process such that dog beds can look like almost anything these days, as they have veered from the simple styles and started to add additional benefits or design elements to their creations.

There are several basic types of dog beds, including:

·        Flat beds

·        Crate beds

·        Plush pillow beds

·        Nest dog beds

·        Donut dog beds

These are simple dog beds with simple designs. Most of the time these will suffice for your dog. But dog manufacturers like to go above and beyond, either with their designs or with the bed’s function. So here are some of the more advanced types of these pet beds available.

·        Orthopedic Dog Beds

Some dogs need extra care, because they have joint or bone damage that causes them considerable pain. These beds are very thick, though they do not offer much in the way of design most often. They are usually rectangles and some dull color, though there are more new designs coming out regularly.

·        Cooling Dog Beds

Dogs get hot, and unlike human beings, dogs do not have the sweat glands to cool themselves down. It is not uncommon to see your dog trying to find cooler areas of the house in order to lower their body heat after a long day outdoors. That is why cooling pet beds are available – these plug in to cool your dog after a hot day. Like orthopedic beds, though, they are not very aesthetically pleasing, but they are still great ways to cool down your pets nonetheless.

·        Heated Dog Beds

Exactly like cooling dog beds, these are also flat beds that you can plug into the wall to cool down your pet. Great for cold winter days in homes with few safe heating areas.

·        Couch Dog Beds

Perhaps the next generation in dog bed designs, there are a variety of dog beds that resemble couches and chairs. These do not necessarily provide any tremendous benefit to your dog – though they are often made with very soft, comfortable material – but they do give you the opportunity to get a dog bed that will not be an eyesore in your home.

·        Dog House Beds

Yet another type of dog bed is the dog house bed. These are shaped like dog houses except their entirety is made from soft material, so they are comfortable for your pet and provide it with a covered place to sleep. These are actually surprisingly beneficial for your pet, because in the wild dogs are used to sleeping in caves, and these give your dog the privacy they need.

This is by no means a complete list of the types of dog beds available. There are several additional types of dog beds with more created every day. But as you can see from the list above, dog beds are considerably evolving, with these five serving as examples of modern ingenuity.
